I first met Barbara when I attended a workshop she held at church. It was to help people make career decisions. I knew soon after she started teaching that this woman was special and I wanted to meet her. I stayed late purposely waiting until everyone was gone so I could talk to her about my situation. She was warm and understanding. She began to help me sort through my issues with clarity, enabling me to make wise decisions for my future. She has a way of taking Bible verses and making them apply exactly to your situation. Karen, Franklin TN
Barbara, how do I describe Barbara? She always has a big smile on her face that just makes you feel glad you know her. She’s jolly and happy. I guess you could say she’s a steel magnolia; I knew there was a real strength under that happy exterior right from the get go. I went to one of her workshops when I was at an all-time low. I had been without a job for close to 8 months and I was frustrated. I thought I had tried everything, but WOW, did I learn a lot about how to find not just a job, but I found my dream job. Her enthusiasm is contagious. She used the Bible to help us understand what we had to do to make our dream job come to us. When I finished that class she had me almost convinced I could do this. At the end she offered personal consulting by the hour and I immediately signed up for that service. She became my personal job coach. She prepared me for the interviews and debriefed me after the interviews. She encouraged me every step of the way. It wasn’t long before I had several interviews and two job offers. She was amazing. I will always appreciate what she did to help me. Thomas, Atlanta, GA.
Barbara and I have been friends for almost 30 years. She came to work for me. I was her sales trainer, her boss. The thing I remember most about her was her strong desire to succeed. She was intelligent and she could take what I taught her and make it work. She was a great student and we grew to become best friends. Through the years, Barbara became my spiritual advisor. She has the most amazing knowledge of the Bible; sometimes I think she knows it better than my pastor. She takes the stories and shows me how they apply to my life situation. It doesn’t matter what life brings to either of us, she can uplift with her extraordinary faith. I seek her advice. She is a special person to me. Joyce, Nashville TN
I remember the first time I saw Barbara she was bouncing across that stage with a smile on her face. That southern drawl was amazingly hypnotic. I loved to hear her talk. After listening to her teach that day, she impressed me because she had a certain wisdom that was different than most. It made me want to learn more from her. After I attended 2 of her seminars, I heard where she attended church and I started attending her church. Soon afterward, I heard about a class she was teaching at church. I stared going to her weekly class and she was amazing. She has lived through a lot, and yet she can make fun of herself and teach valuable lessons that help everyone. Dennis, Antioch TN
Barbara was recommended to me by a friend. She said she felt Barbara would be able to help me. I was really messed up. My brother had just committed suicide, two weeks later I lost my best friend to a terminal disease. All of this was more than I could bear. I was drinking, using pills, and my life was totally out of control. I didn’t feel that God loved me, but I totally believed in God. I was confused and even having questions about God. I wasn’t sure I wanted to live. I cannot put into words what she did for me. We just talked. She listened. She showed me unconditional love. I don’t know if I had ever experienced that before. For the first time in my life I felt like I was talking to someone who understood what I was dealing with. I can’t say enough about her. She is great. Kevin, Chapmansboro, TN
